Events:
Premiere Orlando Trade Show
iSalon had an exciting and productive
time at the Orlando Premiere Trade Show, the largest beauty industry show in
the US, in June 2011. We attended education seminars and met with our trade
partners to discuss and purchase new products.
Two education seminars really stood
out and re-lit our passion for cutting and up-do styling. We attended Nick
Arrojo’s cutting seminar, he is famed from his role on “What not to Wear”, and added some of the most up-to date razor cutting trends to our arsenals. We were dazzled
as we learned how to create five of this year’s newest fashions in up-do styling by
watching Martin Parson’s high energy
show.
We are so eager to share the new
products and tools we brought back with us from the
show. iSalon now carries a full array of Sebastian and Wella professional
products for all of your styling needs. We had a chance to attend a private
Wella International Happy Hour and spend some one-on-one time getting product knowledge from our new line’s educators, stylists, and
representatives. Another big new find is our hair extension kit by Tony Odisho.
We can now apply individual, 100% human hair extensions for those clients
wanting to add thickness, or length, or fun, brightly, colored highlights that
last 4-6 months.

July 2011
New Product Workshops
Sandy Bishop,
stylist/educator, conducted a class on Wednesday, July 20 to help us launch our
P&G professional line. We became experts in using our new Sebastian
products to create hip and edgy styles for all of our trend-setting clients. We
also examined all of our new Wella products so that we may use them to enhance every new hair design we
create for our professional clients. We
are very excited to pass on all of this information to our patrons because, as we
believe in the Wella color line we have always used, we believe in the science
and innovation behind all of our new P & G products.
Every iSalon team member
attended a workshop for our new line of color by Alfaparf. Alfaparf has been an
industry leader in Italy for the past 30 years and is now bringing their
excellence to the US. We are proud to be one of the few salons that carry this
exciting, ground-breaking color line that features innovative crystallized
micro pigments.
Competitions:
Anthony
Blackmon and Christa Gould competed in the Wella Trendvision 2011 contest.
Anthony completed a funky, asymmetrical cut, complete with a contrasting black and paltinum color scheme as an entry to the trend “Polaris”. Christa channeled “Passionista”
with a sultry, long layer cut, full of 4 different stand out reds from the
Wella collection. We are still awaiting the competition results, but you can
view our work under the NEWS tab(side tab fun pix) on this website.
